Ever since Kindergarten where Brian appeared in an Alphabet play as the letter F (for “Fancy Feet”) the stage has been a passion of his. In 2008 Mr. Folkins travelled to Ireland, where he played both parts in rotation in Edward Albee’s The Zoo Story. Boulder, Colorado: Carter in Neil LaBute’s Fat Pig with Boulder Ensemble Theatre Company. Columbus, Mississippi: Stanley in A Streetcar Named Desire for the Tennessee Williams Festival in Mr. Williams’ birth town. Jackson, Mississippi: New Stage Theatre: Wykowski in Neil Simon’s Biloxi Blues, Jacob Marley in a local adaptation of A Christmas Carol and as Ben in Neil LaBute’s The Mercy Seat. Chicago, Illinois: Jupiter in Christopher Marlowe’s Dido: Queen of Carthage. Big Fork, Minnesota: Tom, Phylis, & Leslie, in A.R. Gurney’s Sylvia.
